First time this year I tried too hard rides on consecutive days.
Yesterday, after mile 5 I felt good and things smoothed out and even felt easy in places. Today, not so much.
I was at my limits the entire ride and by the time I hit the base of Big Hill I was already almost shot. By the time I hit the last two short rises just before the parking lot I had close to zero left and was just barely able to force my legs to keep pushing as I covered the final 200 ft back to the car.
Avg dropped to 14.5 MPH. The way I struggled I should be thankful it wasn’t even lower.
